Labor Day

On this weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, we give thanks for the gift and opportunity of work and pray for all who long for just employment.

Parish Offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 in observation of Labor Day

Mass will be celebrated at 9:00am.  There will be no daily Adoration.

RCIA Classes Begin in September


Are you interested in becoming Catholic? Were you Baptized as a Catholic but never Confirmed? Should you invite someone into the Church? Our Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults program will begin Wednesday evening, September 10. 


Ride Needed!

Do you attend Sunday 11:30 AM mass?  We have a parishioner that does not drive and would like a ride. If you live near Bradford Farms subdivision (Green Springs Rd) off of Hughes Rd and can provide a ride, please call the parish office. Thank you!

Habitat for Humanity Update

Thanks to all who helped and offered support with this year's Habitat home.  It took longer than usual, but the time is finally here for Iesha and her family to start enjoying their new home.  The dedication for Iesha’s home is scheduled for 11:30am on Saturday, September 6th. Pro-Life and Pro-Family Meeting

Pro-Life/Pro-Family is Meeting Thursday, September 4 at 6:30pm in the St. John's Parish Library. Deacon Dan Laurita will be our guest speaker. His topic "Canonical Obligations of Catholic Parents" will be a great kick-off to the 2014/2015 season.  Learn about incorporating prayer into your family life, how families are the domestic church, and why the vocation to marriage and the raising of children is a call to holiness. Parish Library Collection Now Online

Check out what's available in your parish library by viewing our new On-Line Catalog System.  The library is open Saturdays 5:00-5:30pm and Sundays 9:30-11:30am, 5:00-5:30pm.  We hava a great our collection of faith based books, CDs and DVDs for children and adults.
