Thank You for Your Support of Catholic Charities!

Thanks for the support of Catholic Charities this past weekend. An online giving option is available through the Diocese of Birmingham Website. Your tax deductible gift assists many ministries in North Alabama. From helping the poor, assisting those affected by disaster, engaging our youth in religious education and scouting programs, to offering support to those with intellectual and developmental disablilites and educating our seminarians...every dollar counts.

Natural Family Planning

The Natural Family Planning Support Group will meet Thursday, October 16th at 6:30pm in the All Purpose Room. Providentialism?  What's that?  How does it apply to family planning?  Also, did you know that some very fervent Catholics actively discourage the use of NFP?  Join the Natural Family Planning Support Group for a video that is sure to spark some interesting discussion.  All are welcome and nursery is provided.

Knights of Columbus / American Red Cross blood Drive

Saturday, October 18 from 9:30 AM until 2:30 PM. Look for us in the Red Cross Bloodmobile outside the Church Basement. The need for blood in Northern Alabama is constant, especially as the holidays approach. Your participation is greatly appreciated by the Red Cross and St. John’s Knights of Columbus, but most of all by those who need blood because of accident or illness. Please take a few minutes out of your busy schedule and give the gift of life. For further information call John Horch at 256-772-3280.

Senior Ministries Pot Luck

All senior parishioners are invited to join us for our Harvest Pot Luck in the Church Basement on Saturday, October 18, 2014, after the 5:30 p.m. Mass. Please bring a dish to share that serves 10-12 people. After dinner, we will have a Cake Walk; but, we will be giving mini pumpkin, zucchini, and banana bread loaves as prizes instead of cake. We hope you will be able to join us for some good food and fellowship. Please contact Ann Marie Crosswhite at 256-726-9204 or by email at for more information and/or to sign up. If you’d like to come to Mass and Pot Luck but need a ride, please call Blanche Irby at 256-461-0399 and she will try to arrange one for you.
