St. Vincent de Paul

Meets every Tuesday starting at 6:30 PM in the All Purpose Room at St. John's. SVdP is a spiritual organization that provides hands-on help to needy families in the Madison area. They support those in need with food, prescriptions, rent and utilities. Each week, the requests are distributed to two-member teams who then visit the families and assess their needs. All parishioners are welcome to participate.

The Gift of Giving

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and our entire Parish Community "wrapped" up another sucessful year with our Christmas Gift and Food Delivery on Dec 11th.  The program is an effort of many ministries at St. John's, and we needed every one of them to ensure its success.  Thanks to all who helped others have a Merry Christmas!

Request for Volunteers - Thrift Store

Our Thrift Store needs your help!  The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, located in Huntsville at 2140 Jonathan Drive (off of North Memorial Parkway, south of Mastin Lake Road intersection) has a special need for volunteers.  We are looking for individuals to be cashiers, sort donations, and other duties to help our Thrift Store fulfill its mission.  Even a few hours of your time every week is a big help to our store.  Please contact Patty Scheussler or Carolyn Payne at 256-851-8881 for more information on volunteer opportunities..

Please click here for directions from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church to the SVDP Thrift Store.
