Meets every Tuesday evening from 7:00-8:00pm. SVdP is a spiritual organization that provides hands-on help to needy families in the Madison area. They support those in need with food, prescriptions, rent and utilities. Each week, the requests are distributed to two-member teams who then visit the families and assess their needs. All parishioners are welcome to participate.

Spring Food Drive

St. Vincent de Paul and Youth Group members will be distributing grocery bags in support of our Spring Food Drive after all Masses on the weekend of April 27/28, 2013. Donations can be dropped off outside the school cafeteria before Masses the following weekend, May 4/5. This drive supports our food pantry through the summer vacation season.
Thanks for filling the SVdP Truck!

The SVdP Thrift Store truck made a stop at St. John's on the weekend of April 13/14, 2013. With your help, we were not only able to fill the entire truck, but two vans! Proceeds benefit the SVdP Thrift Store and the needy of our community. We will try to have the truck at the church on a quarterly basis.
Remember that the truck can pick up donations straight from your home if scheduled in advance. The phone number is 256.851.8881, and store hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 9 AM until 4 PM. We are in special need of appliances and furniture. Donations are tax deductible.
Also, see our Donations section.
Request for Volunteers - Thrift Store
Our Thrift Store needs your help! The St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store, located in Huntsville at 2140 Jonathan Drive (off of North Memorial Parkway, south of Mastin Lake Road intersection) has a special need for volunteers. We are looking for individuals to be cashiers, sort donations, and other duties to help our Thrift Store fulfill its mission. Even a few hours of your time every week is a big help to our store. Please contact Patty Scheussler or Carolyn Payne at 256-851-8881 for more information on volunteer opportunities..
